Gujarat govt to carry retest for Lok Rakshak Dal on January 6, 2019 | Ahmedabad Information

GANDHINAGAR: Gujarat Government will conduct retest for Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) exam on Sunday, January 6, 2019. The written test held on December 2 was cancelled after the paper was leaked. According to State Police Recruitment Board chairman and additional director-general of police Vikas Sahay, the candidates will be issued fresh call letters shortly.

The decision was taken at a government high-level meeting to hold the retest in a foolproof manner without any glitches.

The cancellation of the test has cost 8.75 lakh candidates across the state untold misery and unnecessary expenditure for to-and-fro journey to the examination centres.

Sahay said Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani’s earlier decision to provide free-of-cost ST buses to the candidates for to-and-fro journey to examination centres stood as before.

The chief minister said the purpose of holding fresh test was to ensure that genuine, smart and honest candidates got fair opportunity to write the test. He advised all the candidates to prepare hard for the ensuing retest.
