The event is being held in the city for the first time. Dakshina Kannada District Muaythai Association, affiliated to MAK, will host the event here.
Rajgopal Rai, president, Muaythai Association of Karnataka, told reporters on Friday that around 100 members from 25 Muaythai clubs across Karnataka will participate in the event. Winners stand a good chance to enter the national Muaythai event to be held in Pune.
The competition will be held across various categories, he said.
K Prakash Shetty, chairman, MRG Hospitality and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, will inaugurate the tournament at 9am. UT Khader, Minister for Urban Development and Housing will hand over certificates during the closing ceremony.
